Our beloved Anel Trubljanin recently passed on 01/03/2021. Anel was a wonderful friend who touched the lives of those around him. He leaves behind his mother, father, and many close friends and family members.
Anel's story is a sad one. He was born in Bosnia & Hercegovina and during the war, he was forced to leave his country with his parents. Anel and his parents came to the USA as war refugees and settled in West Springfield, MA.
Here they started a new life and hoped for a better future. Anel and his parents worked hard and hoped to one day live the American Dream.
In 2017 Anel and his parents moved to Michigan due to the closure of the company they worked for for many years. In Michigan, Anel started working as a truck driver and was the sole provider for his family.
In 2020 Anel woke up one morning having lost the feeling in both of his legs, making him paralyzed from the waist down. Anel was very determined and worked really hard with a physical therapist and started getting better. He was able to stand on his feet and move with the help of a walker and eventually moved on to using just a cane.
Unfortunately, Anel was faced with another major health issue. He was diagnosed with Lymphoma and started treatment right away. The treatment was successful and he got a clean bill of health. Just a few months later Anel tested positive for COVID-19 and overcame that as well.
In 2021 he was feeling much better! Things were starting to look up for Anel's health. The morning of January 3rd he woke up and was feeling really well, he was able to move without a cane. From the excitement, he started dancing with his mother and made a remark to his father - that he was feeling much better and he was hoping to go back to trucking to continue providing for him and his parents.
The same day while his father was out doing errands he received a phone call from his wife that Anel was not feeling well. He got home really quickly just in time to call 911. As Anel was transported to the hospital by ambulance he suffered a major heart attack and passed away before even reaching the hospital.
Anel was buried the next day. Since all of his close family is located in Bosnia, Anel's parents decided to move back and would like to transfer Anel's remains there. As he was the only child to his parents they would like to have him close by so they are able to visit his grave.
The purpose of this fundraiser is to collect money and help Anel's parents with the cost associated with the exhumation of Anel's remains and transport to Bosnia.
Every little bit counts. His parents would be appreciative and thankful for any donations.
