Hi family and friends. I was very hesitant and reluctant to start this campaign. If you know me, then you know I am very big on trying to figure things out myself and do not like asking for help. However, I have come to a point where I cannot do it anymore by myself. Let me explain.
     I received a great job offer from Tesla back in May. The pay, the hours, the benefits were better than what I was getting in San Diego. I started researching and planning my move.  I arranged for child care for my son, had temporary housing set up(21 days paid by the company), appts to see places, almost $3k in the bank and my start date. We set off for the Bay area. Everything was going pretty well when we got here. Then about 2 weeks in, my babysitter left and everything started to change from there. I ended up spending almost $500 for 1 day of child care(going rate is 20-25/hr and I work 12 hr shifts). I had to find a new sitter/daycare quick. That costs a lot of money in the mean time(almost $1k). My 21 days in temporary housing went quickly. A lot of the places I went to see ended up being taken very quickly or more expensive than stated. I had 3 failed housing agreements( last minute people came with money upfront) so I burned through my savings and paychecks in hotel stays and eating out because of no kitchen as well as other bills like phone bill, car, insurance, gas, etc. I have gotten some help from family but now I am at a point where am I down to almost nothing.
    I have finally found a great place to live. It is a nice, affordable 2 bedroom apartment in a nice area close to highways for commuting and shopping(grocery stores, target, etc). I applied and was accepted without any last minute changes. My problem now is getting up the money to move-in. I need to cover the security deposit, rent for the rest of August(as I was accepted and my apt reserved in August) and September as well as have proof of my utilities set up($125) and renter's insurance. This comes to approximately $2783. I also need to get our belongings out of storage which was paid for by the company until July 9th and $11.88/day until I get them delivered.  The move-in date is September 2nd. The money raised by this campaign will cover all those expenses and allow us to finally settle in and really start our new life here in the Bay area.  I have a great job, good daycare for my little guy and everything else is in place except a place to call home. Every dollar donated no matter how big or little is appreciated. This is a hard thing for me to ask and I thank you in advance for even taking the time to read this. Thank you all and God Bless!
