On the morning of August 17th, my best friend Sabrina got the call no one should have to receive. Her fiancé, Andy had a stroke due to a blood clot on the right side of his brain. When Andy was transferred to the hospital in Poway they determined he had to undergo emergency surgery to remove the blood clot. In that very moment he was transferred to Palomar Medical Center in Escondido. Andy was then diagnosed with a small hole in the middle of his heart. He is pending evaluation with the cardiologist but was told he would have to undergo surgery to evaluate the severity. With all this unexpected event, Andy will have to be out of work for quite a while to recover from the stroke and surgeries. We are asking the community to help us raise money for the unexpected medical bills and personal bills. Sabrina will also have to take time off work to attend Andy’s doctors appointments. They also have 2 boys that need their mom and dad’s attention. If you know Andy, he is the most family oriented person I know. He loves to smile and has the most contagious laugh.
