Andy's Curve Ball
Donation protected
Andy has been thrown a curveball and not the kind he was pitching fom the mound. At 17 years of age, an unexpected pitch has been thrown at Andy. The curveball has the official name.......Hodgkins Lymphoma.
Andy is a junior at Northridge High School in Middlebury, IN. He is diehard baseball player. Eating, sleeping and breathing the sport he has grown up playing, Andy is picking up the bat God has handed him and hitting this pitch out of the park!
On Wednesday, December 17 he awoke complaining of tightness in his chest and difficulty breathing. Two days later he was sent to Riley for a biopsy. He was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lympoma Stage 2A Bulky on Tuesday, December 23, 2014.
Andy hasn't allowed this diagnoses to slow him down during the treatments. He had a treatment before leaving Riley to return home. Upon returning home and meeting with the oncologist in South Bend he was told the treatments would be modified.
Andy is on a 21 day chemotherapy treatment cycle. This means he gets chemo for 3 consecutive days , then again on the 8th day. He skips a week and then begins the treatment cycle.
Andy is very determined to beat this curveball called cancer!! As family and friends we are all stepping up to bat to help with Andy's financial strikes that pop up. Thank you for your support and continued prayers!
