Hi everyone!
My name is Andynn and I am a newly diagnosed Type 1 Diabetic. Over the past 10 months since i’ve been diagnosed, I have faced many challenges with this disease but I am at the point of needed help.
My primary insurance was terminated as well as my primary doctor quitting with no notice. This has resulted in my medications not getting approved for prescription pickup. We have been told we can pay for the insulin out of pocket but we do not have the expenses as we are living paycheck to paycheck.
Insulin is a life saving medication for someone with Type 1 Diabetes as my body does not naturally produce insulin. If I am unable to afford my medication it can result in DKA, coma, seizures, and death. I wouldn’t be asking for help if it wasn’t as serious as losing my life.
If you are able to donate or share my story in hopes to help, it would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
