CANCER SUCKS!
We have all been affected by cancer, whether through family, friends, neighbors, colleagues or even personally. It is not a disease for the weak but often comes with silver linings.
Well... Andy Beckord is the silver lining seeker & fighter and continues to inspire everyone who has been blessed to know him.
Andy was first diagnosed with colo-rectal cancer on Oct 26, 2017 following a colonoscopy the day before. After a year of ups and downs, through the harsh realities of chemo, radiation, surgery and more chemo, Andy was blindsided by the news that images now showed cancer in his liver and lungs. A different cocktail of chemo was issued and this time it showed that the cancer was shrinking!! These results allowed the discussion of surgery to be brought back to the table.
Moving forward: Andy is scheduled to have surgery to remove 1/2 of his liver on March 1st @ Mayo (coincidentally 1 year to the day from his first surgery). This will be followed by 2 minor surgeries to his lungs.
As cancer tries to stake claim over Andy's body, his time, his dignity, his life... Andy finds the silver linings through action, perspective, humor and love.

This family has inspired so many of us...
Andy.
Hollie.
Anna.
& Mina.
You are so loved & you are not alone.
So many have voiced they want to help but don't know how...
The reason for this go-fund-me is to streamline support so together we can off-set some of the financial burden of medical costs that continue to mount for this family during this difficult time.
In Andy's words "the prayers, vibes, juju, mojo and love really matter and the community therapy is legit."
Please lift the Beckord's up as they continue to gain strength through their community of friends & family. If you can, and it's in your heart to donate, it is much appreciated and will allow Andy and his family to devote their focus & energy on what is important... beating this thing!
