The Story
My name is Chris - and Andy Chou is one of my best friends. I've known him for almost 20 years, and I consider him like a brother. Chances are, if you're reading this, you think of Andy as family too.
Unfortunately, in recent months, Andy has been diagnosed with stomach cancer. But, in the worst of news, the prognoses is quite optimistic. The cancer has been identified early, is considered very treatable - and a plan is already in place to get Andy back to 100% healthy.
The Treatment
In the coming weeks, Andy will begin his first round of FLOT chemotherapy, which will include 4 cycles and 8 weeks of treatment. He will then undergo surgery, which will either be a D1 or D2 resection. This will also include recovery time of 3-4 weeks. Once that's complete, Andy will finish with another round of FLOT chemotherapy.
As you can see, Andy has quite the journey ahead of him, which will take a total of about 4~6 months.
The Goal
As we all unfortunately know, health insurance doesn't take care of everything. And, especially with cancer treatment, costs can really add up - both directly and indirectly.
I've set a modest goal for this campaign, but hope we can well exceed these numbers. The objective here is to alleviate any financial concerns in the coming months - and just let Andy focus on getting better.
Thanks in advance for all your love and support...and let's all wish Andy the best in getting better soon!!!
