Those of you who know and love the McDanald family know how special their bond is. They are a family who has supported each other through thick and thin. Mollie and Lynda’s older brother, Andy McDanald, suffered a massive heart attack last week. He is in the ICU in Florida, and has been in a coma. He currently has sepsis and is suffering from pneumonia and is struggling to survive.

Mollie and Lynda live in Northern Virginia and Andy’s two older daughters live in Maryland. The family would very much like to be with Andy as much as they can during this horrible time to support not only him, but his wife, Jana, their newborn baby daughter and their toddler son. Andy’s youngest children are not able to be in the ICU, and child care is needed for them as Jana focuses on caring for her husband during this difficult time.

Money is needed to cover time off of work, travel expenses, childcare for Andy’s children, and other logistical arrangements as the family gathers around Andy to support him as he fights to heal from this. If you are like me, you wish there was more you could do and since we can’t help Andy get well, at least we can help his family provide the support that is needed.
