Andy Webb & Family

Donation protected
We have a colleague who lights up the office when he comes in.  He has a young family of three little boys and a beautiful wife.  I laugh every time he shares a story of his rousing little boys, and man does he have the stories to share! One we can all relate to, is how his younger son would NOT stay in bed at night.  No matter what they tried, half way through the night they would turn over to an elbow, foot or knee in their back after Cooper had managed to find his way into the family bed.  Poor guy, he’d come into work as jovial as ever but you could tell he was tired from interrupted sleep.  Who can’t relate to that, if you have small children?

We can’t get enough of his stories, but there is one story we have never wanted to hear from anyone, and unfortunately Andy Webb now has that story to tell.  The weekend after the July 4th holiday, while Andy had a house full of family, their home was engulfed in flames.  They were all asleep in the house, when Cori’s mother woke up to a noise in the attic, she woke up Andy.  Imagine the horror Andy had when he discovered his garage totally consumed with fire as it traveled all through the attic.  Now if you are the only one in the house it’s one thing, but a house full of family including his 3 babies and wife that he must have been frantic over getting to safety.  The good part of this story is they ALL made it out unharmed, thank God!  I’m certain that is what they are focusing on at this very time, but there are many, many other things they will need to focus on in the very near future.

They are displaced, without a home at this time.  For how long we do not know.  Both vehicles were in the garage and are a total loss.  They brought nothing out with them.  Insurance dealings are not usually a pleasant experience to say the least and negotiating reimbursements and rebuilding can be daunting.  AND that says nothing about the emotional toll that will eventually hit, when the shock wears off.

We think of Andy and his little family as our family here at Schneider Electric!  We take care of family, and anyone who knows Andy will want to do the same.  The next story we want to hear from Andy is how generous & supportive everyone was during this most difficult time.  We cannot replace the items that they will most certainly lose during this disaster.  We cannot replace the special places in their home that might have been a special memory.  That will all be rebuilt in time and they will create new memories, maybe make new marks on the wall where the kids are growing, and frame new memories.

BUT, we can help them through the trauma and alleviate some of the stress of having the funds to pay for a 2nd place to stay, or new clothes, or shoes, or toys for the boys.  There will be many things that will come up in the next few months as they try to get settled in temporary housing.  Will you be a part of assisting in that problem?  Please donate any amount you feel led to give.  It will be put to very good use and deeply appreciated.  Please feel free to share this link to others that may want to help this beautiful family get back on their feet and get some normalcy back in their life.
