Andy Rooney is a military veteran. He was in the Army 1971-1974 and Stack in 1989-2003.
Back in 2016 Andy began having problems with his breathing; only to find out he was living with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis. This is a terminal lung disease that does not have a cure and only treatment beyond medication, Is a lung transplant. In 2017 he was placed on oxygen 24/7, as his lungs did not hold the capacity to supplement his body and organs the oxygen they need. As of today, his Right lung is at 25% capacity and Left lung is at 60%. Andy was given 3-5 years (in 2016) without a lung transplant. Within the last week, he was denied that life saving lung transplant even after the doctors did many tests and scans with him. Unfortunately we’re coming up on 5 years since that diagnosis. I’m asking you to please help out the Rooney family, with Andy’s wishes.
Andy has always wished to drive down Route 66 in a Challenger. He would also love to go on a vacation with his family.
Dawn (Andy’s wife) is the only one in the home working and with all the time that she has had to take off work, and the bills piling up, they need a little help.
Dawn and Andy are some of the most self less people I know. They would give their shirts off their backs to anyone who needed it. Any help would be appreciated.
