Help Support Andrew Parenteau and His Family During a Medical Crisis

Our dear friend Andrew Parenteau has been hospitalized since April 3 due to a severe infection that doctors are still struggling to identify and effectively treat. Despite receiving medical care, his condition has taken a turn for the worse—Andrew has now contracted pneumonia, leaving his body even weaker as it continues to fight on multiple fronts.

To make matters more devastating, Andrew has lost most of his eyesight due to macular edema, a complication from the infection. This has added another layer of difficulty to an already overwhelming situation.

Andrew is a devoted husband, father, and grandfather—a man who has always been there for his family and friends. Now, he and his loved ones need our support. His inability to work has put his family under significant financial strain as they prioritize being by his side during this frightening time.

We are raising funds to help cover:

Medical expenses and treatments

Travel and accommodation costs for family members

Loss of income and basic living expenses

The nerves around his stomach are dead. His stomach has a ball of food sitting in there that cant go through. They will be doing a motility test i believe. Looks like he will require a gastric pacemaker which I believe the closest place to get one is Calgary and who knows how long until we can get him there. Due to it being out of province and specialists having to set things up, it may take awhile.
