Hello,
My name is Jolean. My brothers and I are raising money for our father's funeral. Our dad was the type of man who would give to anyone in need, even when he didn't have enough himself. Our Dad has always worked himself hard (too hard in my opinion) to make sure we had what we needed and then some, and would go without for himself to make things happen. Dad was the kind of guy who would drop what he was doing to help people. He has given the shirt off of his own back to a complete stranger in need, literally.
He was my go-to Mr Fix It All. My Dad would use his bike trailer to haul my power wheelchair whenever I needed to go grocery shopping or the doctors when they weren't close to home. He helped make the entrance to my house safe and accessible for me to get in and out by myself in my power wheelchair.
If he didn't know how to fix it, he would do whatever it took to get the job done. He was one in a billion.
We never could fail to him as long as we got back up and tried to do it again, learn from our mistakes, and be better. If you can, please help us do right by him.
For everyone asking about our Dad, Andy, he passed September 1, 2021 in the late afternoon. He had a hear attack while driving his Chevy truck. He had no injuries from the airbag deploying. I was told his truck crossed over into the next lane and then through some yards, hit an in-ground flower bed, a bird bath, and then a parked car. The officer I spoke with told me he wasn't speeding and that he was slowing down for the upcoming turn.
Personally, I like to think that was his final decision so he wouldn't hurt anyone because he was a very safe driver.
