Thank you for taking the time to click and learn about Andy
Backstory
Andy is an athletic and active 16-year-old high school sophomore, track & field runner at Moorpark High School, CA. On the day after Christmas 2018, his life was turned upside down, when he was diagnosed with osteosarcoma on the right femur bone, a rare type of bone cancer that most commonly affects growing children.
I
Andy's parents, older brother Eric, and family are doing everything they can to help Andy transition from his old active life to a new one with multiple doctors' appointments, chemotherapy sessions that have him in the hospital for days at a time each time and extremely difficult side effects.
Every time Andy gets chemo he must be checked-in to the Kaiser hospital in Los Angeles for multiple days at a time.

Andy's treatments will carry on for a total of 30 weeks and he will be having a limb-saving surgery in late March 2019 to remove the cancerous tumor in his femur bone, at which point he will get a metal prosthetic.
The treatment will be completed by the end of August 2019. His heart is broken to learn that he will not be able to return to his favorite sport in track & field after the surgery.

How you can help
Friends and Community from Ventura County and the city of Moorpark have been supportive of Andy's family and helping with prayers, food, homemade meals, medical supplies, cash donations, and gift card donations.
Please consider helping Andy and his family through this journey to recovery from osteosarcoma and help ease some of the financial stressors of having a child diagnosed with cancer as this process is lengthy and emotionally draining.
Monetary donations, gas cards, food, and/or Visa/Master Card gift card donations are greatly appreciated. No amount is too little and we REALLY APPRECIATE you spreading the word to help our Andy.
