Child Sexual Abuse Victim Andy Hodge Finally Found Peace
Donation protected
This is the beautiful face of Andy Hodge, who sadly took his life last month after the monster who repeatedly raped him as a child was returned back to the very community where he terrorised children.
We refuse to use the abusers name or photo, this post is in memory of Andy.
Andy reached out to our team several times, thanking us for our work exposing the abuser. We communicated with Andy and helped to spread the word further, but when we went to respond to Andy's final message, it was too late. Andy had already taken the decision to find peace within himself.
Andy was repeatedly failed by the services designed to protect victims and bring justice to those who commit unthinkable crimes against humanity.
Between 1970 and 1979, his evil abuser repeatedly raped 4 young children in Fife. Shortly after, Andy called for help and the Police ignored him. The Police left Andy to suffer for nearly 30 years with incredibly poor mental health conditions caused by the hands of evil.
It wasn't until 2018 when Police Scotland came knocking after another victim had come forward, was Andy listened too. In 2020, his abuser was sentenced to 7 years in prison for the decade long abuse of 4 children. He was released after less than 5 years.
Andy tracked down his abuser with the help of the Fife Red Rose community, Andy told us that he had confronted his abuser as after 50 years of mental torture he was ready to to tell the monster he was no longer scared of him. He said he wasn't a child anymore and he had control of his own life.
Andy's last message to us, was a request to organise a peaceful gathering at the care home, where his abuser was released from prison to. After length discussions within our team and a discussion with Andy's relative left behind, we have agreed to help organise a demonstration on Kirkcaldy promenade in memory of Andy and the unthinkable failings by the safety services.
Andy has finally found peace. He is free from the monster that hurt him as a child. Andy's legacy will continue as a hero, who stood up to the most evil beings of this world.
Rest in peace Andy.
