We're fundraising for Andy Gilbert has begun treatment for mantle cell leukemia. Andy has gone through intense chemotherapy treatment since July, some of which required hospitalization. The good news is that Andy is responding to treatment and is in remission, but still has a very long, difficult road ahead. The next step will be one last round of intense chemotherapy followed by a bone marrow transplant-likely after the first of the year. This will require a 2-3 week hospital stay, followed by three months of recovery. While Andy and his family are delighted with this news, he is sad to miss out on Logan and Ashlynn’s upcoming sports seasons. Please continue to pray for Andy and his family as his fight is far from over. After the transplant, the hope is to be in remission for 2-10 years.

Our efforts will help his family during this very difficult time. Andy is married to his wife, Angela and together, they have two children, Logan (16) and Ashlynn (15) who are both actively involved in their high school sports. Logan won a state wrestling championship as a freshman, and was runner-up as a sophomore. He's being recruited by Division One schools for college. In addition, he plays football, baseball, and runs track. Ashlynn is a varsity basketball, volleyball, softball player, and track runner. Andy loves nothing more than spending his time watching both of his kids play sports. With our help, Andy and his family will have one less worry during this trying time.
