A Life Lived in Faithful Service to the Lord and in Selfless Action Toward His Family and Flock: Pastor Andy Esponilla

In honor of Pastor Andy’s faithful life and legacy, we are gathering funds to provide him with a burial that befits a true servant of God, one who lived not for himself but for others. The support raised will also help sustain his beloved wife and children as they navigate the uncertain future ahead, now facing life without their husband, father, and provider. It is a tribute not just to the life he lived, but to the family he loved so deeply.

As a husband and father, Pastor Andy lived a life of selfless love. He placed his wife, April, and children, Zoe and Matthew, above himself, providing, protecting, and guiding them with unwavering devotion. He did not just tell them he loved them; he proved it daily through sacrifice and quiet strength.

As a pastor, he tended his flock with the heart of a true shepherd. He did not simply preach; he lived the Gospel, making sure every soul he touched felt seen, cared for, and valued. His ministry was never about titles or recognition; it was about love expressed through action.

As a working man, he stood as a pillar among his co-workers, known for his kindness, dependability, and humility. His tireless work ethic, his readiness to help without hesitation, and his quiet generosity earned him deep respect and admiration.

Pastor Andy Esponilla was a man who did not need to raise his voice to be heard. His actions spoke louder than words ever could, a faithful servant, a devoted father, and a true man of God.

Tragically, Pastor Andy’s life was cut short in a car accident while he was on his way home from a pastors’ meeting. He left this world in the service of God and His people, fulfilling the calling he lived for every day. His death is mourned deeply by the ministry he served so faithfully here in Edmonton, by fellow churches across Canada, and by the many lives he touched in the Philippines. His passing is a profound loss to the ministry, to his workplace where he was dearly loved, and most painfully, to his beloved wife and two young children who were the center of his world.

Pastor Andy’s life was a testament to quiet strength, unwavering faith, and deep love. Though his voice is now silent, the echoes of his life and legacy will continue to speak in the hearts of all he touched.
