Andris Taskans Memorial

Andris Taskans, the editor and founder of Prairie Fire magazine, died suddenly on Friday.
Andris was a writer, editor, and avid gardener. He was a mentor to so many people in Manitoba's publishing community and, in addition to Prairie Fire, was a founder of the Winnipeg International Writers Festival and the Manitoba Writers Guild.
Andris gave so much of his time and himself to create a home for the work of so many writers across Canada. Now is our opportunity to give something back. Help us to support his family through this difficult time by making a contribution, big or small, in his memory.
For more information on Andris's life and legacy, see: https://www.winnipegfreepress.com/local/literary-legend-andris-taskans-made-it-his-mission-to-support-prairie-writers-561644222.html
At a later date, we will be fundraising for a memorial scholarship or literary award in his name.
