Many of you know the story of sweet Andrew and his twin Vincent who is now our angel in heaven. Born 20 weeks early, both boys had a hard strugle when first entering the world. Both boys were hospitlized and had several surguries Andrew 7, Vincent 3. Sadly, Vincent's fragile body could not take it anymore and past away at 2 months old. Andrew continued to live in a hospital until he was 7 months.
Andrew is now 3 years old. He has been diagnoised with PVL (periventricular leukomalacia) Cerebral palsy, 50% hearing loss in each ear, Lung disease, and uses a feeding tube (Gtube) to eat. His family chooses to view his ABILITIES rather than focus on his disablity. He has prooven over and over to be a fighting force. His accomplishments far surpass anything he hasnt been able to do. Even though Andrew can't crawl or walk he is determined to play with blocks, trucks and his PJ Mask toys like any other boy. He can say Momma, Dada, sissy, Up, agua, papa, love you, bubbles and counts to 10. Andrew is starting to sit unassisted for 10-20 seconds. And is learning to eat by mouth. Everyday is a new day and the possibilities are endless.
Although his Mommy + Daddy give him the best care anyone could have ever imagined, hospital bills, home healthcare adds up . The biggest and long awaited news of insurance approval for his WHEELCHAIR has finally came through! It has been bittersweet news! Sweet becuase this is huge for Andrew's needs & progress, bitter because the copayment for his Wheelchair and Stander is over 8k. This is money that although can be saved over a long period of time, Andrew needs this now.
It is every parents dream to be able to provide 100% of all needs without anyone's help. This dream is no different for Arnie and Michelle. I created this gofund me account with the belief that it takes a villiage! The love and lessons that Andrew has brought to anyone that has ever met this boy, is worth every penny that will be gathered by all who have heard his story, or have been privilaged to be apart of his amazing journey. Any donation you can share to make another parents dream come true, would be appreciated more than you know -
Thank you.
