Andrew's Road to Recovery Needs You

Hi everyone,

I’m reaching out today with a lot of humility, vulnerability, and hope. Life threw me an unexpected curveball recently — a serious injury has left me unable to work, walk, or function like I normally would. It’s already been over a month since everything changed and I’ve just been told I’ll be out for at least another eight weeks, with a high possibility of longer & definitely longer when it comes to getting back to work.

Two weeks ago, I underwent surgery to begin the healing process on a trimalleolar ankle fracture. (which by the way i don’t recommend this kind of fracture at all!) While I’m incredibly grateful the procedure went well, recovery has been tough — physically, mentally, emotionally, and financially. I’m doing my best to stay strong, but the truth is, this situation has left me in a really difficult place.

My disability benefits are still pending with no clear timeline, and I have rent, basic living costs, and medical expenses piling up. I’ve never been someone who’s had it all figured out but I’ve always managed to keep it all together and support myself but this time though I need help..

This isn’t easy to write. Asking for help never is. But I believe in the kindness of community and in the power of people coming together when someone’s struggling.

• Covering rent and living expenses during my recovery

• Paying out-of-pocket medical bills and prescriptions/equipment to help get me around.

• Helping with transportation and care costs for my dog while I heal (if you’re in brooklyn or new york and want to take my little baby girl for a walk or play time i would also be so grateful) ♡
