Andrew's Medivac Cost to the Spaulding Center

On April 18th,  Andy fell in an unexpected accident which has resulted in severe trauma to his neck and spine.   Andy is currently paralyzed from the neck down and is being treated at a local hospital in Naples.  Andy is also having respiratory issues which have not allowed him to be discharged to a spinal rehabilitation center.   He is in need of a rapid transport to a spinal/neural trauma center in order to give him the best chance to walk again.   

Andy’s best hope at recovery is to be medevaced to the Spaulding Center in Cambridge.  Unfortunately, insurance will not cover the special transportation he needs and the cost is significant -  in the range of $20,000.  The specialized rehab they provide is critical for his recovery.   Any donation towards the cost of transferring him to Spaulding would help he and Deborah greatly. 

Andy is a fighter, and we need to give him the best chance to recover.  Deborah has been diligently by his side every day, and needs to be closer to home in order to properly provide support.  

It is likely a bed will be available at Spaulding in the next few days and the Medevac can bring him immediately.
