Andrew’s life saving surgery

Andrew is 22 years old and was born with Pectus Excavatum. It is a condition in which the breastbone sinks into the chest cavity compressing the heart and lungs. Over the last few years, Andrew has been in and out of the hospital for complications caused by this condition. His most recent CAT scan shows his condition has degraded now becoming life threatening. His breastbone has sunken so deeply it is compressing is heart not allowing it to function properly. After weeks of meeting with surgeons, Andrew has chosen the Ravitch procedure scheduled for April 7th. The surgery will correct his breastbone alleviating the strain on his heart.
