I am Lynette Nease and I have created this account to provide financial assistance for my niece Amy, who is facing extraordinary challenges. Her son Andrew Miles was born with congenital heart defects that would eventually require surgical intervention.  Although medication initially delayed the need for surgery, Andrew suffered a life threatening incident in his teens, necessitating emergency surgery to replace a valve and implantation of a defibrillator.  Unfortunately his immune system response was extremely elevated antibodies which made it impossible for Andrew to receive a human heart transplant as the possibility of rejection was great. 
     Andrew achieved a remarkable milestone this year by graduating from high school, a feat we feared might not be possible.  
     Shortly thereafter he underwent emergency medical transport to Atlanta where he experienced multiple cardiac arrests.  Andrew’s sole hope for survival lay in undergoing a revolutionary double pump mechanical heart procedure, with only one recorded survivor worldwide!
     Andrew received his implant in May 2025, and remains hospitalized, battling various complications, including severe lung damage. At just 18 Andrew demonstrated remarkable resilience in opting for this procedure.
     His mother Amy has been a constant presence by his side, necessitating her absence from work. Leaving the family dependent on her disabled husband’s benefits.
