Andrew’s journey…One step in front of the other
Donation protected
Hi, Recently, our family found out that my 10 year old grandson Andrew Drazil has Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma on his neck and kidney.
The good news is that it is treatable.
However, he’s got a rough road ahead.
Andrew has started chemotherapy on a schedule that includes hospital stays of 5–6 days at a time. After each stay, he’ll return home to rest and recover for about 3 weeks before starting the next round. This cycle will repeat for the next four months, or until the cancer is gone.
Some treatments will require chemotherapy to be administered via spinal tap.
They have insurance, but as we all know, hospital stays can be very costly. Any donation will go straight to my daughter Marissa and son-in-law, Josh, to cover the costs of Andrew’s treatment.
Andrew has been unbelievably brave through all of this. He’s scared, of course, but he’s also holding onto hope—hoping to return to school, to basketball, and the hardest part for him: musical theater. He’s heartbroken that he might miss performing in The Lion King after months of hard work.
Andrew’s prognosis is very positive. We’re doing our best to stay hopeful and lean on our faith. We truly believe Andrew has the strength to beat this. Please continue to keep him in your thoughts.
The title "A Boy with Lymphoma" comes from Andrew. It is the title of the journal he started
We are so thankful for the incredible love and support surrounding him—it means more than we can say, and we know Andrew feels it too.
Thank you in advance.
