Andrew's DC Trip & Medical Expenses

Hello, My name is Aaron and I am one of eight kids of Andrew Langohr. This is a 54 year old man who I have seen to be one of the most selfless people by the way he loves other people and gives to others in need even when he is in need himself. I would have to say the reason lies with his love for God and his desire to spread God's love in anway he can. Recently it hasn't been so easy for him though but he continues to do his best.

Lately he has been in real dire need of prayers and love because of his recent diagnosis. Last fall, 2015, he had been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and since then has gone through multiple chemotherapy treatments and countless tests. When it was first discoverd the hope was that it could be surgically removed but the tumor had grown around the superior mesenteric artery making it inoperatable unless shrunk. That is when they started chemotherapy in hopes to shrink the tumor to a size that can be operated on but with the struggles of keeping his weight up (went from 190ish to currently 125 pounds) and staying physically strong enough to withstand the treatment they decided to stop the chemotherapy. He is now taking a lot of prayers, multiple pain killers and bloodthinners for treatment while having nurses come to the house multiple times during the week to help him with daily things around the house as my mom cannot be there all the time because of her job. The whole situation hasn't been easy but we continue to stay hopeful and confident in the Lord's plan for him.

The plan is to help him take a trip to Washington D.C. with his wife, Jennifer Langohr, away from any worries and concerns about his life. He has been talking about wanting to go there and visit all of the monuments and anything else the city can offer him as this will be one of the last trips that he can handle. The goal is to send him on this trip within a month or so (by the end of June 2016) before the time comes where he may not be strong enough to go. We would like to be able to pay for transportation, room, food, and any other expenses that he may incur for up to a week stay. Anything given beyond what is needed for this small trip would be used to cover some of the major medical bills that have been incurred over the past year. That is not our main concern though because those will more than likely go unpaid for anyhow because the debt is too much so we would like to focus on doing this one nice thing for him that he can enjoy as it may be the last.

It would mean everything to my family if we were able to help him in return for everything he has done for us. He has been such a great father to many kids; taught us about God's love, how to give unconditionally, how to love unconditionally, and what family truly is and the importance of who family is. He has given us many reasons to smile and I want this to be one of the ways we say thank you and to make him smile. There's nothing in the world that matters more than trying to make Andrew feel happy about life and that there's still something else in life to enjoy. There is still good even if everything seems bad.

Before anything we ask for your prayers and love for Andrew and that God may lay his healing hands on him.

Jeremiah 17:14 "Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved, for you are my praise."

Thank you everyone for everything you do to help, anything and everything helps. Please share and pray for him! All donations are greatly appreciated, we couldn't thank you enough.
