Andrew Gosewisch and the EPIC break
On Wednesday, April 19th, Andrew suffered a very serious and severe injury at work. While moving a pop machine onto a dolly, it slipped and came down on Andrew's left arm (thankfully not his dominate one). The impact caused both his radius and ulna to snap. Andrew was rushed to HCMC due to the severity of the breaks. When he arrived he learned he would need surgery to repair the damage sustained to his forearm or lose the mobility of his forearm. In addition to this, Andrew began to have numbness in his palm, ring and pinky fingers; this prompted the doctors to preform 2 surgeries for Andrew, one to fix the bones and the other to release his carpal tunnel nerve. 3 hours, 12 screws, 2 plates, 1 night in the hospital and a hell of a lot of stiches later...Andrew is home and resting, with a heal time approximation of 6-8 weeks. He will be unable to work for at least 2 weeks, depending on his healing rate. While the pain of healing begins, so do the medical and living costs. As most of you know, Andrew is the sole provider for his wonderful family of 6. While his boat may be full and sometimes chaotic, he is never one to say he needs help. Well, family and friends, our brother, nephew, best friend, co-worker, uncle, husband, son is in need of some help. Anything we can do to help pull our family together in their time of struggle. A donation, a meal, a supportive message...whatever one is able to provide is so greatly appreciated. Thank you!
