Andrew McBee has been living with ALS for over six years and he is working hard to maintain a  high quality of life despite innumerable challenges. A great source of joy for Andrew is music. He has played the guitar, the piano and the harmonica and keeps a regular date with an Irish jam band. Unfortunately, due to the loss of functionality in his arms, he is unable to play the musical instruments he loves so dearly. Because he is endlessly resourceful and endlessly joyful, Andrew is determined to continue his love affair with music. To that end, he went on a quest to locate a musical instrument that he could still play and found a foot operated bass accordion in Europe (see link below). This instrument will allow Andrew to play music with his feet and to return to his beloved Irish music sessions. This instrument is being custom made for Andrew and it is not cheap but if you've ever seen Andrew play music before, you know that this is, without a doubt, worth every expense.
