Andrew the Glioblastoma Cancer Fighter

On March 10th, 2024, Andrew experienced his first seizure. Rushed to the emergency department, a CT scan revealed a menacing mass in his brain. Immediately transferred to bigger hospital, further tests suggested it might be a meningioma, a 6cm in size. With hope and courage, Andrew underwent his first surgery on March 18th, believing it to be a manageable hurdle.

However, the devastating blow came five days later. The doctors delivered the heart-wrenching news - Glioblastoma Cancer Grade IV WHO. An aggressive, fast-growing tumor with no cure. Our world shattered as we faced the reality of a prognosis ranging from 12 to 14 months. What we can do is only continue standard of care to prolong his life.

Andrew will be undergoing 30sessions of radiotherapy and oral chemo for the next 6 week at Icon Cancer Center, Penang, Malaysia. This treatment is crucial in his battle against this aggresive cancer.

As you can imagine, the medical expenses associated with Andrew's treatment are overwhelming. We are doing everything we can to provide him with best care possible but the financial burden is becoming increasingly difficult to bear. We have decided to raise fund for Andrew's medical expenses, ongoing treatment and any additional support he may need throughout his battle. Every contribution, no matter how big or small, will make a significant different in Andrew's life and give him a fighting chance against this aggressive cancer.
