Andrew Ramsay Go Fundme

National Pursuit and Omnium Champion, and Caribbean Bronze Medalist Andrew Valentine Ramsay, who performed a class act at the recently concluded 2023 Jamaica Cycling Federation National Track Championship held at the National Stadium Velodrome by demolishing his fellow countrymen in devastating fashion by lapping the entire field on nemerous occasions in every omnium event ( Scratch, Tempo, Elimination and Points Races in the same day ) , is in Jeopardy of missing out on much valuable UCI race points and sharpness from competing at Trexlertown Velodrome in Pennsylvania USA, starting June 2nd, 2023 and the Pan-American track championship in Argentina starting June 14th, 2023 for which he has been selected to attend by the National Federation.

The local cycling board the Jamaica Cycling Federation has absolutely no funding at this time and the supply of funding from Family, well wishers, friends, close associates, himself and my personal funding as coach has hit rock-bottom, as this core group for close to a decade now has put together in excess of two hundred thousand United States Dollars ( $200,000 USD ) or the equivalent of thirty million Jamaican dollars ( $30,000,000 JAD ) in bicycles, spare parts, service bills, air fare, food, training facilities, training, accommodation, transportation, additional nutrition, cycling gear, medical assistance, gym fees, motor pacing and support vehicular fees.

It is with this in mind that we put this approach forward as we are all but depleted at this time and also owing to the fact that Andrew is currently selected to represent the country at the even more fiercely and highly competitive event the CAC Games starting in El Salvador June 18th, 2023. The Central American And Caribbean Games is Supported by the National Olympic Committee but certainly we would not just like Andrew to just be an entrant or as we say in Jamaica " MEK UP DE NUMBA ". Let's help to make another David Weller, a Peter Aldridge or a Ricardo Lynch. We have been missing in action as a nation and found wanting.

Everything that's shining on the cycling track from the Caribbean has RED in it either from CUBA or TRINIDAD, no ENVY, no disrespect they have earned their place. Let us come together and rise the gold, the green and the black flag again for cycling, Jamaica land we love.

We need to raise ten thousand United States Dollars ( $10,000 USD ) in this regard and that's just to support Andrew. I may not be able to attend but he is disciplined and i have help from two other English-speaking coaches on the ground and also he has the program and we will use technology for help.
