Andrew Payne passed away at home on Saturday the 1st of November. Andrew was a long-standing member of Wolvercote Cricket Club and was a dedicated scorer for many years. Andrew was an enormously kind man with a deep understanding and love of cricket and an encyclopaedic knowledge of Oxfordshire cricket and cricketers and he will be missed enormously by everyone who knew him. Heather and Sam have had the wonderful idea to install a commemorative bench for Andrew at Cutteslowe Park as this would be a lovely and fitting way to keep him with us in spirit when we play at home.
