Andrew J. Shears III

Dear Facebook family and friends. It is with a very heavy heart to convey my brother Andrew Shears Jr. gained his wings today.

He leaves behind his namesake son Andrew J. Shears IV., Jason D. Shears and daughters Ciera Lofton Shears;

3 siblings Anthony B. Williams, Cynthia Mapps and Melvin Mapps

He was preceded in death by his father Reverend Andrew J. Shears Sr., Mrs. Elizabeth Shears (mother who raised him), our birth mother, Ora Sue (Shinault) Harris and sister Melissa Mapps. He was also loved by a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and a heart full of kind neighbors and friends.

He was a proud member of the John Muir high-school Track team class of 1975. With such a great sense of humor, he was a caring soul who never met a stranger and gave love unconditionally to his entire family. He was raised in Altadena, California and retired from life in Los Angeles, California.

We are asking all loving hands on deck to generously help out with funeral expenses. May God bless the cheerful givers hearts. Your contributions are greatly appreciated.
