Andrew is Displaced as a Result of Hurricane Helene

UPDATE: After speaking with Andrew (he is very, very grateful for the support!) he has made it clear that his immediate needs are going to be accommodation, food, water, and utilities for up to 6 months while the disaster is dealt with. I have updated the description below to reflect that this is what he will be using the donations for. Again, he is beyond grateful as he is already looking for accommodations that will allow him to be close enough to his home to get back to meet with insurance, surveyors, etc when he is able.

Hi, my name is Georgia and my brother Andrew has been heavily affected and displaced by Hurricane Helene. He may not be able to return to his home for many weeks or even months as Asheville, North Carolina rebuilds. Once you're out you can't get back in and he has made the difficult decision to leave for the time being as he has no power or service and his home is badly damaged.

As he won't be able to return to his home for an unknown amount of time, Andrew will need to live in hotels or other rentals. He needs food, water, clothing, and all of the other normal essentials. Friends have offered him a roof and hospitality, but he will not be able to live permanently with anyone and will need to find his own space at some point. He is also self-employed so, while we all know how driven and resourceful Andrew is, this will undoubtedly take a toll on the amount of work he will be able to do and his subsequent income as he rebuilds. He will be effectively unemployed until he can get on his feet again.

We are so fortunate that Andrew is safe and well and we are aware that many others are not as fortunate. However many people know and love Andrew and have asked how they can help, so this GoFundMe was set up. Anything you can donate is appreciated. Thank you and be well!
