Andrew Gardner Needs Our Help

Many of you know Andrew Gardner - renowned in the NYC music scene for his stellar photography of everyone who was anyone. That's how Patrick and I met him back in 2006, and he soon became a regular at our shows capturing all of our favorite images of that time period. It was also around then that I said something along the lines to him of "I really think you would like my Aunt Carla". Flash forward to 2013, and Andrew came all the way up to Dobbs Ferry in Westchester where we were playing at a local gallery, and finally he DID meet my Aunt Carla. And the rest is history... they have been inseparable since. Andrew went from friend to family and we couldn't have been happier.
Flash forward to this past Thursday, Andrew was admitted to a hospital in Brooklyn after experiencing some very concerning symptoms (extremely high blood pressure, headache, and confusion). Yesterday (Friday), a large tumor was confirmed on the left side of his brain which is the cause of his unusual symptoms, and he is now scheduled for emergency surgery on Monday. We will not know more until the surgeon is in there about prognosis.
Like so many people who have dedicated their life to their art, Andrew does not have health insurance and so far is not qualifying for any assistance. The cost of all of this may end up being upwards of $100k, surgery alone being around $34k. We are asking for anyone who knows Andrew as a friend, has been touched by his art, or simply is in a position to help to do so. Please spread this far and wide, and put whatever energy or prayers that you can out there to the universe for a full and speedy recovery for our beloved Andrew!
