Andrew Dones' Funeral Expenses and Medical Bills

Hi, my name is Jessica, and I am Andrew's big sister. The hospice nurse has nofitied us of his imminent passing, and our family is devastated at the prospect. My family and I are looking for help raising funds to help pay for his funeral costs and medical expenses.

Andrew has a glioblastoma and has been fighting for more than 5 years. As a baby, he was diagnosed with neurofibromitosis. It's a rare condition that causes tumors to form in the brain, the spinal cord, and along nerves. Normally, the neurofibromas formed are of the non-cancerous type. Unfortunately for Andrew, a cancerous one formed in his brain near his spinal cord, and he was diagnosed with a glioblastoma in 2017.

Andrew is funny, kind, loves animals, and could charm you with his smile. He loves video games, music, sports, and his family. Andrew is a jokster and as sarcastic as he was kind. He has the spirit of a fighter and that is what he's been doing since his diagnosis. He has gone through chemo, radiation, natural, and alternative treatments. After his last chemo/radiation treatment 3 years ago, we thought he wouldn't survive, and he really surprised us all. We have had more time than we could've truly hoped for since the average life expectancy after diagnosis is about 15 months and only 3-5% of patients survive more than 3 years.

Our mother, Annette, has been caring for him full-time since the beginning. She eventually had to quit her job when the appointments became many, and his health declined. She has paid what she could to support his treatments, but that, along with paying for certain medications not covered by insurance has left her with the burden of paying Andrew's medical debt.
