Hi all, As we say our final goodbye to Andrew Dawson, (Dripfeed / Max), I’d like to ask for any donations towards either a headstone or memorial stone (depending how much we raise).
As you may know, Andrew had been very unwell a number of years, spending the last 18 years of his life in Gresham care home in Gorleston.
His money has covered the costs of his funeral, but there isn’t money to mark his grave or remember him.
I’d love to make enough to get him a grave stone, but as they are incredibly expensive, I appreciate we may not make enough for that. If this is the case, I’d then like to buy an ‘memorial stone’ that we could have at Freethorpe chapel next to his Nanny and Grandad. Andrew was ‘one of us’. A local lad who loved living in Freethorpe, so it would be nice to have a place to remember him and look back and smile at all our funny memories he left us with.
I would like to do what we can as a collective to mark his grave, so please do donate what you can afford, if you can.
As he always used to say (usually after saying something rude): “I try so hard to be nice!”
Fond farewell Mr.Dawson. ❤️
Burial today (16/10/25) at Gorleston crem at 10:00. Followed by raising a glass to him at the Red Lion, Halvergate. Please join us if you can.
