Our friend and co-worker has just endured every mother's worst nightmare. Unimaginable. Her loving son, Andrew was killed Saturday night in a car accident. Darlene and Martin are no strangers to loss, they are still grieving the loss of their beloved son, Jesse. He passed away 9 years before his big brother. Like I said, unimaginable.

Darlene and Martin are both working in their senior years. Darlene works full-time with us at Lawtons, and always picking up extra work, whether it's making Christmas wreaths in the winter, preparing our grounds for The Big Ex or picking berries, Darlene is an integral support to their income.

They're very proud and would never ask for help. When there's nothing you can do to comfort their family during this devastating tragedy, we're hoping that the financial support of friends and family can at least alleviate a bit of the financial burden they're certain to bear during the coming weeks. Lost wages and funeral expenses are not something they should have to even consider at this time. Darlene would help any one of us. Let's help her the best we can.
