Andrew Cranley - Song Collection

Other than being a brilliant friend and one of the most interesting people you're likely to have met, Andy was also an incredible musician and songwriter and anyone who knew him for the music he played were always taken back by the talent he'd shown. His guitar playing was some of, if not the best I've ever heard and it was always a pleasure to sit there and listen and watch him play. Something I miss very much. He was a huge inspiration to me both as a musician and a person.

About 20 years ago, Andy and myself started recording Andy's music from home on an 8-track home studio. And only up to earlier this year Andy continued to write and record songs from home before he sadly passed away in April.

Andy messaged me a couple of years ago saying he was going to record an album, but being Andy I couldn't really tell if he was being serious or not. But I think he always did like the idea of his music being known, not that he'd ever admit it.

After we lost Andy, i thought following through on his idea of making an album of his music would be the perfect way to pay tribute to him and also making sure his name and music live on.

With this, myself and a few close friends and family gathered together a collection of some his best recordings from the last 20 years and prepared and engineered them, ready to be produced as a physical album.

Hopefully through Gofundme, I can raise the money needed to produce a run of approximately 100-150 copies. Depending on how the fundraising goes, hopefully anyone who donates will get a copy for themselves.

I'd very much love for anyone who knew Andy, or even those who didn't, to be able listen to his music and to appreciate how much an amazing musician he was. Hope y'all can help x
