After years of narcissistic abuse, Andrew needs support

Hi, my name is Andrew Davis, and I am raising funds after 18 years of being the victim of a malignant narcissist, my father-in-law. I had no idea what narcissism was until it was too late. He destroyed my health, my finances, my marriage, and anything else with which he could use to punish me. I’ve had to do an enormous amount of healing over the last several years, but I’m finally in a place where I feel like I could progress as long as I’ve got a little bit of safety net, which I also did not have. Narcissistic abuse feels similar to the way someone who suffered sexual abuse feels. There’s a lot of shame, guilt, and constant verbal abuse from which you have to heal yourself. I need just a little bit of momentum to make it to the fall months. I’m employed and doing well.
Below is a copy of the illness I suffered. I still have lasting affacts, but I work through them.
This was no joke - it was truly touch and go and I had a very slight chance of survival. Below is a list of serious issues for which I was evaluated and treated:
Pneumonia - Organism Unspecified -
(Primary Encounter Diagnosis)
Anemia
Hypoxemia
Hyponatremia
Abnormal Transaminases
Bilateral Pneumonia
Fever
Hypogammaglobulinaemia - Unspecified
Sepsis - Due to Streptococcus
Pneumoniae
Bacterial Pneumonia
Acute Renal Failure
Pleural Effusion In Left Lung
The real obvious Narcissistic abuse began early but I didn’t recognize the behavior.
During the financial crisis of 2008 we had to close a business in which my father-in-law was the largest owner of equity. He took the company through bankruptcy because the environment was difficult and he did not want to take more risk. Fair enough. What he then did to my family, his daughter and grandson, was financially brutal. He punished us to the highest degree possible and heaped shame upon us to make him feel better about his actions.
this went on for years. In 2013 I became extremely ill and almost died. After I was released from the hospital having survived, my father-in-law used my vulnerability physical weakness to really take control of our lives. During both periods, he and his wife “loaned us” money that we would then owe them. He bought a home in an expensive suburb for us to live in, while I was in the hospital. It was a home about purchasing I was given no choice.
issues like this continued until the end of my marriage. I exhibited all the signs of abuse by a malignant narcissist. Extreme abuse and have been healing from them ever since. I’ve come a long way, and I am happy working, writing, and staying very fit. Unfortunately, he destroyed me financially, my ex-wife was given notes on how to handle the divorce. It left me with virtually nothing.
