On Saturday February 16th 2019, Andrew Cervantes, our beloved Son, Brother, Uncle and Friend was suddenly and tragically taken from us.
Andrew was only 31 years old when his life was taken. He was born in Hollywood California on July 20, 1987 to Rosalina Gonzalez and Jose Cervantes. He went to school in Eugene Oregon where he has lived with his family since 1999. He had just recently begun the process of becoming an apprentice plumber.
Andrew was an extremely loving, loyal, thoughtful, man with a huge heart. He was smart, funny, and so caring. He loved his family so much. He is so incredibly missed. Everyone who knew him is absolutely devastated by this. He was so loved by all who knew him.
Andrew was shot and killed by a stranger. The circumstances are still somewhat unclear and being investigated. No one was prepared for this and the family is now navigating how to move on from here.
Andrew's family will need help and support through this time. We are asking friends and family who can help, to please contribute to the funeral fund. Contributions can either be made here or directly to his sister, Maritza Hamilton. Contributions of any amount will greatly help ease their financial burden and give them some peace to begin healing.
The funeral service will be:
Friday, March 1st, 2019
Casa De Luz
1295 Taney St Eugene, OR 97402
Viewing and paying of respects will be from 1-2pm. The service will begin around 2pm with a reception on site to follow.
