Andrew "Bama" Brodeur needs our help!

Donation protected
My name is Jenn, and with permission I am starting this gofundme on behalf of Andrew Brodeur.
I have known "Bama" for many years. A few things that come to mind, that I think everyone can agree on, when it comes to him - he would literally give you the shirt off of his back. He has always been there to lend a hand to help, or an ear to listen. He has been a great friend to many over the years, a loving father to two beautiful children, and to two "bonus" children, and he has a profound love for the Lord, that has only grown through this most recent trial and tribulation.

He is a big guy, with a big heart. He is also a fighter, but he needs our help. He certainly would NEVER ask for help, and neither would his wife. Speaking of Andrew's amazing wife, Joan, she has been by his side through everything, on top of working, maintaining a household, and being a loving parent, despite the challenges that arose for her husband. She has been holding it all down with grace and strength. She straight up rallied and continues to rally for her family. Hopefully the funds raised can alleviate some financial burden and stress for the newlyweds, so that they can focus on Andrew having a full recovery. It has been a long and turmultuous road for them in a short period of time, and they still have a long road ahead.

In November 2023, Andrew was diagnosed with liver failure. His liver basically quit working, and his body was filling with ammonia that had to be frequently drained. He spent half of November and most of December at Roger Williams Hospital. On January 18, 2024, he was taken to Yale Hospital in CT. where he was put on medication to either die, or recieve a liver, whichever came first. It was not looking promising from an outsiders perspective. He was literally on the fence of leaving his wife a widow, and his children without their dad. By the grace of God, a whole lot of prayers by family, friends, Churches, his beloved Evo family and community, and A WHOLE MIRACLE, on Presidents Day, they got the call that there was a liver for him. The next day, he was in surgery, and he got his transplant.

Andrew just got home, he is in a lot of pain, and he is doing his best adjusting to his new normal.

If you are unable to donate, please pray for this family, and share the gofundme.

May God bless you all, and may He bless this family abundantly.
