Andres’s celebration of life

Hello my name is Yecenia and I am Andres’s younger sister. It’s with a heavy heart that we are fundraising for Andres’s celebration of life.

 

On January 19, Andres Ponciano Gonzalez was rushed to surgery due to being diagnosed with diverticulitis. He was then hospitalized with severe COVID complications. Andres’s lungs suffered extensive damage and needed breathing assistance. He was hospitalized for 10 days where he was fighting for his life. My parent’s son, our beloved brother, future husband and father, lost his fight against COVID on January 29th and went home to our Lord.

 

Andres is truly one of the most genuine, kind-hearted, and free-spirited people to have walked the earth. He had an absolute love of life, and it showed through his passion for his family and friends and food. He could cook spectacular dishes with whatever was in the fridge. He always helped those who were less fortunate. He loved to cook for his family and friends.

 

Andres was about to begin his life with his fiancée, Monica. Their wedding was set for March 26. He has two older sisters (Juanita & Andreina) and a younger sister (myself) who looked to him for comfort, adventure, and brotherly love. He had many friends who loved and cherished him. He always would say,” ___ needs me, I have to go help them.”
