On Septemper 14th, 2016 Andres Charry was viciously attacked by a man near his home in Las Vegas. The man approached Andres and began senselessly beating him up. When it looked like it was all over, the man got in his car and attempted to run Andres over. The man struck Andres on his side launching him about six feet back. While Andres was on the ground the man attempted one more time to run him over but thankfully Andres moved out of the way and was missed. The man drove away and left Andres injured on the ground. The police came and Andres was transported to the hospital for his injuries. During this period, the attacker came back to Andres' home and fired several shots through the lighted windows hoping to kill his family. Miraculously, no one was hurt by the bullets.
The police captured the man and after questioning him, he confessed that the attack had been done as a hate crime against Andres' hispanic race as well as hate against police officers. You see, Andres works as a volunteer with the Las Vegas police department.
Andres has been a hardworking and exemplary member of the Las Vegas community. He is the Pastor of a Christian church and is a volunteer for the Las Vegas police department. As a volunteer for LVPD, Andres counsels victims of crimes.
My name is German, I am a friend of Andres from Phoenix and I am raising money on his behalf to help him recover. When the campaign is over, I plan to write him a check for the amount.
The funds of this campaign will go towards Andres' medical, ambulance, future therapy and property damage bills. As many of you know, a trip to the hospital like this can set a family back thousands of dollars. With this campaign I hope to help Andres move forward after this horribly painful experience. En Septiembre 14 de 2016 Andrés Charry fue brutalmente atacado por un hombre cerca de su casa en Las Vegas. El hombre se acercó a Andrés y comenzó a golpearlo sin sentido. Cuando parecía que todo había terminado, el hombre subió a su carro y trató de atropellar a Andrés. El hombre golpeó Andrés en su lado y lo lanzó seis pies hacia atrás. Mientras que Andrés estaba en el suelo el hombre intentó atropellarlo una vez mas, pero afortunadamente Andrés se movió y evitó otro golpe. El hombre se fue y dejó a Andrés herido en el suelo. La policía vino y Andrés fue transportado al hospital por sus heridas. Durante este periodo, el atacante regresó a la casa de Andrés y disparó varias veces a través de las ventanas iluminadas con la esperanza de matar a su familia. Milagrosamente, nadie resultó herido por las balas.
La policía capturó al hombre y después de interrogarlo, el atacante confesó que el comitió este crimen a base de racismo contra Hispanos y odio contra policias. Andrés ha sido un miembro trabajador y ejemplar de la comunidad de Las Vegas. Él es el pastor de una iglesia cristiana y es un voluntario para el departamento de policía de Las Vegas en consejeria para victimas de crimenes.
Los fondos de esta campaña se destinarán a gastos médicos, ambulancia, terapia física y daños a la propiedad de Andres.
