I also want to add that he is seeing and reading all the comments and well wishes that are being sent his way. Thank you all soo much!

Hey everyone, on March 9th, 2023, Andres Ochoa suffered a stroke at Eisenhower Medical Center, and this fundraiser will be to help his family raise money to help cover the costs of medical bills, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and expensive medical equipment.

Andres was diagnosed with stage 4 chronic kidney disease in 2013, and as of 2022, he receives dialysis three times a week. He is on the transplant list to receive a kidney. On February 27th, 2023, he was admitted to the hospital and treated for a Staph infection which caused him to develop a blood clot in his heart valve. To break up the clot, the doctors put him on blood thinners. While in treatment for the blood clot, he was administered heparin, but the medical professionals missed signs that his brain was bleeding. His family and I told the medical professionals he was slurring, misspeaking, and had severe headaches. After multiple days they finally sent him for a neurological CT exam and discovered he had a small hemorrhage stroke in his brain. After Andres was transferred to the ICU, he suffered a seizure and has since been diagnosed with Expressive Aphasia.

Essentially he is fully aware of his surroundings but is having a lot of difficulty speaking his thoughts clearly or answering questions. He was released from the hospital and transferred to rehab on March 17th, 2023, and is about to be released to go home! He has made miraculous progress, but he still has a long way to go. His family is renovating their home to make it safe for him to stay home while he recovers. This relocation means that he will need equipment that will allow him to recover at home instead of a medical facility. We are asking for any help possible to help his family cover the cost of medical bills, equipment, therapy, travel costs, and other expenses that arise from his recovery. Thank you for taking the time to read this message and for any help you can give.

Thank you, and god bless
