Saludos! Permítannos presentarnos: Nuestros nombres son Andrés y Danira. Somos violinistas y tenemos 24 y 25 años respectivamente. Andrés es argentino, ex-miembro contratado de la Orquesta Sinfónica Nacional Argentina, ex-miembro fundador del ensamble de música argentina SalBA, y posee un bachillerato de la Escuela de Música y Artes Escénicas de Frankfurt, Alemania. A su vez, Danira, puertorriqueña, cursó sus estudios de bachillerato en el Conservatorio de Música de Puerto Rico, graduándose magna cum laude en 2018; actualmente es miembro permanente de la Orquesta Sinfónica de Puerto Rico desde 2017 y maestra certificada en método Suzuki en la Escuela Puertorriqueña para la Música. En el año 2018 formamos parte del European Tour de The Orchestra of the Americas, uno de los festivales más importantes de nuestro maravilloso continente, c/u de nosotros representando a su país. Allí nos conocimos y, desde entonces, somos pareja.

Recientemente fuimos aceptados para hacer el programa de maestría en ejecución del violín (MM Violin Performance) bajo la tutela de la Prof. Janet Sung, en DePaul University, Chicago. A pesar de la considerable beca por mérito que nos ofrece la universidad para pagar nuestras matrículas, aún no contamos con el capital económico que requiere incurrir en esta oportunidad. El costo de c/u de nuestras matrículas para el primer año es de 22,344 USD. La Universidad ofreció cubrir 17,000 USD de c/u de ellas como parte de la beca de mérito The School of Music Award. Aún nos faltan entonces 5,344 USD por cubrir a c/u, convirtiéndolos en 10,688 USD en conjunto. Cabe remarcar que estos números se refieren exclusivamente al costo de las matrículas para nuestro primer año en DePaul; es decir, no incluyen los gastos de la mudanza inicial a Chicago ni los gastos de vida mensuales.

Nuestro deseo con esta colecta es conseguir 11,000 USD para así lograr cubrir el costo total de nuestras matrículas del primer año. Dado que ganas de cumplir nuestro objetivo no nos faltan, estamos también ofreciendo servicios musicales a cambio de remuneración. No duden en contactarnos en caso de interés!

Greetings! Allow us to introduce ourselves: Our names are Andrés and Danira. We are violinists and we are 24 and 25 years old respectively. Andrés is Argentinian, former contract member of the Argentinian National Symphony Orchestra, former founding member of the Argentinian music ensemble SalBA, and holds a Bachelor's degree from the School of Music and Performing Arts Frankfurt, Germany. Consequently, Danira, Puerto Rican, studied her Bachelor's degree at the Conservatory of Music of Puerto Rico, graduating magna cum laude in 2018; she is currently a permanent member of the Puerto Rico Symphony Orchestra since 2017 and a certified teacher in Suzuki method at the Escuela Puertorriqueña para la Música. In 2018 we were part of the European Tour of The Orchestra of the Americas, one of the most important festivals of our wonderful continent, each of us representing our country. There, we met, and we’ve been together since.

We’ve been recently admitted to the MM Violin Performance program under the tutelage of Prof. Janet Sung, at DePaul University, Chicago. Despite the considerable merit scholarship offered by the university to pay our tuition, we still do not have the financial means required to accept this opportunity. The cost of each of our tuitions for the first year is 22,344 USD. The university has offered to cover 17,000 USD of each of our tuitions as part of The School of Music Award merit scholarship. We still need to raise 5,344 USD each, for a total 10,688 USD when adding both of our tuitions together. It should be noted that these numbers refer exclusively to the cost of tuition for our first year at DePaul; that is, they do not include the costs of our initial move to Chicago or our monthly living expenses.

Our hope with this fundraiser is to raise $11,000 USD to be able to cover our total tuition costs for the first year. To show how committed we are in reaching our goal, we are also offering musical services in exchange for economic contribution. Feel free to contact us if you are interested!
