Andrea's mission: Help me stop my MS progression!

Hi I'm Andrea, a 35 year old wife, mother of 2, nurse practitioner and fitness fanatic. A few months ago I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS) after a series of strange and scary neurological symptoms. Unfortunately it is a progressive chronic disease where my immune system is attacking my brain and spinal cord. If I don't stop this from occurring, I will end up with cumulative damage to my body, resulting in mobility difficulty (many people end up in wheelchairs :/ ) cognitive decline, nerve damage, etc. Scary stuff! I want to remain active, play with my babies, and continue working towards my goal of 'pro' in bodybuilding.. honestly, I just want to stop progressing towards disability from this horrid disease. It is essential that I have HSCT (a stem cell transplant with my own stem cells) to give myself the best shot at this.. the procedure resets my immune system to stop the attacks and progression. It has great promise, but is incredibly expensive! My insurance is fighting against current meds available here in the US, but they only slow progression , not stop it ! Time is sooo important in MS, and it isn't on my side!
