UPDATE ON THE FINISHING OF OF "THE FRAME"!!!

Like so many people, I am emerging from The Pandemic a bit changed. My priorities have shifted, the time has passed, and now I am finally ready to turn my focus toward recording original music again!

For many years, starting in 1995, I played in a folk trio called "Rebecca Riots " that performed original folk/acoustic music around the country. It was an incredible experience to feel so free artistically, tour this beautiful country, and make so many wonderful friends along the way. Well, it turns out that my old bandmate and friend, Lisa Zeiler, is willing to produce and play on this collection of previously unrecorded songs. It's a delight to be working with her again, and I am excited to have her help imagining more fleshed-out versions of these songs.

These are mostly songs that I have written and performed over the years since the Rebecca Riots ended. If all goes well, good friends and some incredibly talented musicians I have met along the way will also contribute their magic. It is truly an honor to have the help of guitar legend Shelley Doty, the amazing Michaelle Goerlitz on drums and percussion, and a Berklee College of Music student named Isaac Coyle who is mind-blowingly good on the upright and electric bass. I can also tell you that three of the new tunes in this collection will be ones that I have co-created with a truly gifted pianist and composer named Deb Hungerford. Her rich and passionate compositions have given me a new portal to express my lyrics and melody. I am very excited for you to hear her play.

There will be other guest musicians who will appear in the songs on this album. Stay tuned. I'll let you know!

And so, I am asking for your help in creating this piece of art. I hope to cover the actual costs of the studio, pay the musicians fairly and be able to compensate Lisa for her work on this project. I will be satisfied if I can get this project out there. 

I don't intend to press actual CDs (does anyone use CDs now?), but I have not ruled it out. I plan to send donors digital copies of the recordings and a letter of thanks for your donations.
