Helping Andrea be with Blake

Just two week from my nephew's 10th birthday, he was in a freak accident while at home; his safe place.  He was playing with friends when he tripped and fell through a glass door.  

Our sweet boy was almost stabbed in the heart by a piece of glass, and had an artery severed.  He was rushed to the hospital in Milton where he was stabilized and flown to Toronto's Sick Kids via helicopter.  Thanks to the quick-moving and skilled medical staff his artery was repaired, veins in his right arm replaced, and a plastic surgeon worked on repairing his nerve.  He is currently hooked up to many lines and tubes with a collapsed lung, and doctors are not sure yet whether he will regain movement in his right arm.

We are heartbroken.

Andrea is a single mother of two children and relies on hourly wages to make ends meet.  It is my hope we can help Andrea focus on caring for, and being with Blake rather than worrying about finances over the next month.  

No mother should have to choose between caring for her baby and making ends meet.
