Andrea's Army ❤ Fighting Metastatic Breast Cancer

In July 2018, Andrea was diagnosed with an aggressive form of stage 3 breast cancer. Within this time frame, she underwent chemotherapy, a mastectomy, daily radiation treatments, targetef therapy, breast reconstruction surgery, and hernia surgery due to complications from the reconstruction.
After a routine check a few weeks ago, only15 months of being cancer free, what was thought to be scar tissue from post treatment has been confirmed through many tests that her cancer has relapsed. The cancer has metastasized into her distant organs of the lymph nodes, bones, and lungs. Andrea just completed her first round of chemotherapy this week. She will continue once a week for 3 to 6 mths as her body will respond, then will progress with additional options thereafter.
On the plus side, after reviewing the results from the biopsy, her type of cancer is still responsive to targeted antibody therapies. This will enable her doctor's to broaden her treatment options to help control the growth with a better long-term prognosis.
I am posting this update asking for a special friend who always has a smile on her face and views a different perspective and positive outlook in any person or situation that has crossed her path. She is fighting for her life, but only expresses selflessness to be present for the love of her family and friends.
I am again asking for your financial and emotional support to help with any unforseen costs that are coming their way. As of today, we don't have all the answers and these next few months will be critical for Andrea. We don't know how or if her body will respond in the best way. I will do my best to keep everyone updated and informed.
Thank you for your continued generosity and kindness as Andrea and her family navigate through their journey. Her family will need all we can give them today. I ask that you keep her and her family in your daily thoughts and prayers.
