My name is Ryan Morrissey and I am reaching out to anybody willing to listen to my story and lend a helping hand. I have created this page on behalf of my mother, Andrea Morrissey. My mom is that person, who time and time again, has proven that she can rise to any challenge and conquer the many life obstacles that have been thrown her way.
Ten years ago I lost my 45 year old Father, Jonathan, to a massive heart attack. My incredible father left behind his wife of 26 years and three boys who admired and loved him dearly. My oldest brother Derek was 19 years old at the time, I was 15 and the youngest, Andrew, was only 9. Since this unbearably difficult time in our lives, my mother has stepped up to the plate and put herself on the front lines day in and day out to give my brothers and I the lives we would have had with two parents. She transformed from a stay-at-home mother of three, to a mother who held three jobs to prevent her children from losing their home as well. One of which was at the town recycling center slinging trash and operating heavy equipment! She was the number one teller in the region during her time at TD Bank bringing exemplary service to her community.
From there my mom went on to providing service to her community as the assistant town tax collector, providing direct service for her friends, neighbors and town residents; something that she loved. Unfortunately, due to budgetary issues, her job was going to be made a part time position and the income was not going to be sufficient to support her family. This was a position where she was valued by the many long standing members of the community. After this misfortune was when my mother really began to struggle, fighting the uphill battle of unemployment. After suffering months of unemployment my mom finally landed a great job. She is currently working at citizens bank. However she is now faced with the challenge of overcoming 7 months of unemployment and the debt that accompanies this.  While she now has an income on which she can maintain her house and life; she cannot overcome the hurdle of the past few (2-3) missed mortgage payments. While she has pursued multiple angles with the bank to accomodate just six weeks time to make the payments, they are not willing to negotiate. My mother can afford these payments and she can live comfortably again, finally and as she deserves. What my mother needs is to just simply overcome this hurdle of a couple of mortgage payments. The bank has denied her help and is nowgiving her two and a half weeks to come up with the money or they will foreclose. Losing the home she bought with her husband, losing the home I grew up in as her child.
Between her incredible hard work and whatever help my brothers and I have been able to provide, we are now stretched beyond our means and are facing foreclosure on our home. I am asking anyone who can help, to help my mom. To help a woman who has beaten all odds and raised three successful children all on her own merit after a decade of hard work. I would do anything for my mother and I can't bear to see all of her hard work crash down around her.
I am setting a goal of $5,000.00 for this campaign to get my mother, Andrea Morrissey back on her feet so she can continue down her path to success. She has given everything to her community a thousand times over and I am urging you all to give something back to a person who is so undeniably selfless and inspiring. As her son, I thank each and every individual who has taken the time to just read my story and this family will be unimaginably appreciative of any financial help donated.
