In April of the this year after numerous appointments with doctor due to hearing loss in my left ear and After an MRI it was determined that i have Vestibular Schwannoma which is a tumor on my brain. It is on the left side and a little larger then a golf ball. That has caused the nerve that lets sound go from my ear to brain to be damaged.
I will be having brain surgery in Wichita within the next few weeks and desperately need help with expenses. i do have insurance but they dont cover the special hearing aids i will require after surgery. I will lose 100% of the hearing in my left ear and i have already been 70-75% deaf in my right ear since i was 12. The cheapest hearing aid with the special transmitter for the complete deaf ear runs in the ballpark of $4000.
After surgery i will be required to stay in the hospital for at least 5days if not longer. Depending on complications i may need to go to rehab to learn how to balance myself to walk etc. I would like to be able to comfortably go in to this process knowing i have enough to cover the hearing aids and travel expenses to and from Wichita for countless followup appointment. Doctor also said i will not be able to go back to the cafe to help until maybe up to 3months depending on my recovery.
I know this time of year everyone is busy and financially everyone will not be able to help. I understand this completely. Any little amount would help or if you could share this and pray i would appreciate that too.
Thanks everyone for your constant support and words of encouragement i have already recieved.
