Help Support Andrea

When you come to Main 4 South at Stamford Hospital on a day Andrea Lopez is working you are greated with a smile and a warm hello. She is one of the forces that keep the unit running smoothly. Andrea dedicates her life to those around her. She is not just a nurse, she is a leader. She is a charge nurse on the unit, a member of many of the hospital's organizations and councils. She works every day to improve her practice and improve 4 South as a whole. Her love for her patients and dedication as a nurse is tangible. Her coworkers and patients are truly lucky to be with her. 
Last week Andrea suffered a critical medical emergency and has been healing at the NYU Neurologic ICU. Even during this time Andrea has remained positive. She has not shown a shred of self pity or anger. She is a pillar of strength and grace. Andrea will have a road to recovery and will not be able to return to work for some time. Her incredible family and boyfriend have stayed by her side day in and day out and have paid to travel and  the exuberant costs of parking in the city.
